Coming next week!

I’m sitting here pre-coffee, but I’m pretty excited about what I’m thinking about writing for next week. I’m reading David Bach’s “Smart Couples Finish Rich” right now – it’s just been by my bedside stand for about three weeks now – I have to get it back to the library by Dec. 2, so I’m feeling the urgency.

In his chapter called “The Couples Latte Factor,” he urges couples to track what they spend for seven days and they will find out truly where their money is going. (I myself have a good clue, but I think this will make me rethink the days that I don’t brown bag it for lunch.) … So that’s something to look forward to.

Now off to get ready for work, drink copious amounts of coffee and dreams of the nothingness that I will do tomorrow (except for helping my dear buddy Erin prepare Thanksgiving dinner.)

Hi, great blog. Quick tip on brown bagging: take turns with your wife (one night she makes the lunches, the next night you make the lunches). Also, always make sure to cook a little extra dinner so you can pack it up the next day!

Best,
Vince

I like the idea of actually tracking spending for a week….can I start it after I buy Christmas gifts??!! :)

Vince – thanks for the note. If I could get Future Husband to cook, I would be elated. :) But I’m lucky – I cook, he cleans up after me. We make it work.

And Deb – yes, you can start after you buy Christmas gifts. :) Although you are one of the most frugal people that I know and I appreciate your stories. :)
