Good to get the angst out. I am (was) similarly in a conundrum last fall - decided to stick it out at my job for another year until I finished school. Unfortunately, other designs were in my future and I was laid off from that job instead. The silver lining is that I got unemployment funds and school tuition reimbursement in my pocket, while attending full-time. I will be finished in June of this year, rather than eking it out until December, while suffering at the job! There is always a solution, just bide your time!
