I used to love shopping. And I still love shopping – in fact, I budgeted new clothes last weekend, shopped an awesome sale and spent about $100 on some much needed work clothes.
That was fun. But today I made a $200 payment toward one of my credit cards and I have to be honest. That’s worth more than clothing.
I’m $3,400 closer to my goal of being debt free. I called the bank the other day, I still have about $1,600 left on my car. After that, it’s the $20,000 that I need to pay towards my college loans. So in reality – I will be done paying off my bad debt by the end of this year (by the end of summer? Oh that would be divine. By the end of fall? Likely more plausible.) The total journey will take a little bit longer, but this is a process. And I’m loving this snowball effect.
Happy Friday friends!

You go girl. Since Ryan sent me the link to your debt reduction blog I have been reducing my spending as well. I am a shopaholic, but really loved it this month when the credit card bill was dropped by $1400 just by not buying the extra crap!
The end of summer isn’t far away at all now – if you’re getting this much of a buzz from paying off that 200 now, can you imagine how good it’s going to feel to be rid of the entire lot? The best of luck to you!
