I don't know why most people are suggesting that you wait and do it on your own. Your husband and you are a team. I say take the money from him and pay him back in the two weeks. You don't need to consider the debt completely paid until he's officially paid back but it would be so much better to owe your husband than it is to owe a heartless company.

You're still going to pay the debt off all on your own. He's not giving you the money, he's just giving you a 0% interest loan for a couple weeks. You're still going to pay the debt.

I don't know what your interest rate is for that amount but it's still a few bucks in interest over two weeks (maybe $2-$3 but that is something). I can't imagine a good reason to give an extra couple bucks to a company when I could keep it myself.

I agree, don't take the money. See this thing through--some things are more important than the money saved (by paying earlier). Congratulations.

I wouldn't quite go that far :) but I agree that the amount of interest charges are minor in two weeks, and personal satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment are valuable things. So, if it will add to the good feeling you will have when you press that button for the last time on October 29, 2009, A.D. (need to add A.D. to add even more drama!) then do it yourself.

You'll save interest charges, but you'll lose the pride in having finally finished something all by yourself. If you take your husband's money, you'll regret it and perhaps even be angry at your husband for not having forced you to exercise the necessary discipline/patience to finish it yourself.
