Things to look forward to …

I’m in my last week at my current job. This is my last Monday here and I’m beginning to feel my smile painfully glue itself across my face when another person approaches to ask me what my next adventure is. It’s not because I’m annoyed at the questions – it’s just that I really am not fond of talking about myself and every person who stops me serves as a mental reminder of what a great year it’s been here at this job and how much I’m going to miss these folks.

Having said that, I am really looking forward to next week – I’m taking a week off between adventures to get my house cleaned up and set up my home office. Hopefully I’ll get some good work done into writing a few articles for here as well.

Happy Monday, my friends!

  1. I know what you mean. Those few times when I knew I was leaving a job ahead of time, you start actually missing the place because everyone’s coming up to you and wishing you well and you begin to realize it was a pretty nice place to work after all.

  2. I can feel you. You know there are better things ahead, things to look forward to. But you just can’t help but miss the present status, the thing that made you happy for sometime. But life is about moving on but not moving away.
